OWNER & FOUNDER OF UPCOUNTRY CANNABIS COMPANY
Raised on a pear orchard in a small town at the base of Mount Hood in Parkdale, Oregon, Jon developed a strong connection to agriculture and the land that supports it. This environment led to the understanding that caring for the land is a crucial component in successfully achieving a high quality crop.
Jon took his passion for horticulture into 15 years of growing and working with Oregon's Medical Marijuana Program. From there, Upcountry was born into a former lumber mill turned hydropower station.
At Upcountry Cannabis our mission is to produce the best quality product available while caretaking the land and revering our resources. We are proud to operate completely off-grid with clean, renewable energy.

We harness the power of nature to cultivate cannabis in the most sustainable way possible. Our hydro turbine utilizes a water driven by a pelton wheel powered by a small portion of the Mt. Hood runoff. This gravity-powered system not only minimizes our environmental footprint but also sends surplus energy back into the grid.

Our journey begins with growing, where we craft a custom blend of nutrients that are OMRI certified wherever possible. This certification ensures that our products meet the rigorous standards set by the USDA National Organic Program, allowing us to provide you with premium-quality cannabis while staying true to our eco-friendly ethos.
To ensure the health and vitality of our plants, we conduct thorough lab tests on our nutrients, leaves, and tissue. This meticulous process guarantees that we maintain optimal feeding levels, resulting in high-quality cannabis products.
We are always hunting for new strains. We never stop seeking out differing combinations of terpenes, cannabinoids, CBD, and THC to enhance every aspect of the experience with our products.
Upcountry carries a library of pollen and seeds from which we are continually testing new strains. We also use reputable breeders to introduce new lines and genetics on a regular basis.
Our plants are screened and selected based on characteristics that ensure a quality, reliable final product.
